Residency Programme

What do we offer?
Ard Bia Berlin, offers supportive and unique residency opportunities in a pioneering, and productive environment. Suitable for visual artists interested in working and researching in Berlin for a period of time.

Who can apply?
Visual artists and those working in related cultural fields.

Time frame?
We are accepting proposals for 1 – 2 month periods from May 2008 to January 2009.

Is the residency programme fully funded?
Currently the residency programme is not fully supported and the monthly cost for artists is €300.

What are the facilities offered?
Two residential studios: 20m2 each, with combined work station and living area, communal kitchen, washing machine, internet, modest printer and access to research and reading material.

Residency rooms adjoin the gallery space and residency artists are given the opportunity to engage with the gallery´s programme. Those interested in interacting with the public can utilise the gallery space and present their practice by initiating an artist talk or studio visit. Ard Bia Berlins staff will facilitate the artists in making necessary connections and networks in the city.

When is the deadline?
Deadline for applications , February 25, 2008. All applicants will be notified in early March.
